In response to the House and Senate approval of Senate Bill 1947, a bipartisan school funding plan to address Illinois’ broken school funding formula, State Senator Jil Tracy (R-Quincy) released the following statement.
“I’m proud that both legislative chambers and parties have come together to reach a school funding agreement that is fair and equitable to all 852 school districts, and prioritizes funding for Illinois’ low-income and most challenged districts. Every student deserves a high-quality education, regardless of their address, and every student deserves academic opportunities to reach their potential. We’ve accomplished that today.”
