Outdoor sporting enthusiasts will have the opportunity to learn about new laws and important dates at the Sportsmen’s Legislative Update hosted by Senator Jil Tracy September 4 in Beardstown.
The Sportsmen’s Legislative Update is scheduled from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. September 4 at the Elks Lodge, 205 East 2nd Street in Beardstown.
“It can be difficult to keep track of all the new laws that come out of Springfield every year that impact hunters, anglers, and trappers. Add to that the dates for different seasons, questions about how many tags you can get, what you can hunt/fish and when, and it can understandably get confusing,” Senator Tracy said.
A representative from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources will be on-hand at the Sportsmen’s Legislative Update to discuss new laws, important dates and conservation education, and provide an update on hunting seasons. Participants will also learn from state officials and other attendees about what areas are expected to be better this year for hunting around the state.
Refreshments will be provided.
