Illinois Chamber Presents the Bridge Builder Award to Senator Jil Tracy

The Illinois Chamber of Commerce congratulates Senator Jil Tracy for receiving our Bridge Builder Award. The Bridge Builder is our newest award which recognizes bipartisanship and collaboration in the General Assembly.

Senator Jil Tracy has served in the Illinois Senate since 2016 and was a member of the House of Representatives from 2006-2014. During the 103rd General Assembly, Senator Tracy served as Spokesperson for the Judiciary Committee and was a member of the Labor, Executive, Higher Education, Appropriations (Education), and Veterans Affairs committees. She also serves on the Legislative Ethics Commission. In her early career, Senator Tracy worked in private law and served as Mt. Sterling City Attorney. Later, she served as an Assistant Illinois Attorney General. Senator Tracy resides in Quincy, IL where she currently serves on numerous community boards.

With the Bridge Builder award, the Illinois Chamber recognizes two legislators from each chamber, one from each caucus, who display a willingness and effectiveness in reaching across the aisle to work together to make Illinois a more attractive place to conduct business.
